LOL suppose it is some detail. They are approximate, should have said that.
Those 5 road / track types are basically what we break conditions down to.
Highway -
well we all have to do that ha ha.
We have deflators 2 set at 16 & the other 2 at 22, so throw them on for those conditions. They are not accurate but do the job fine.
We go to
Stockton once a year and
pressures needs to be real low if playing in the dunes. A local wouldn't tell me his
pressures, secret men's business! we had 16 and kept having trouble, went to 10psi and never got stuck for the rest of the day. No sharp turns as a bead will pop off the rim!!!
Even though we have good springs and shockies, a road with potholes, corrugations, small washouts etc are so much more comfortable with the
pressures lowered from highway settings. Got to be better for the vehicle and the tracks as
well.
Some
tyre mechanics tell people not to reduce
tyre pressures, it damages the tyres etc. The unfortunate customer gets fed up getting stuck all the time and give 4wheeling away. If those blokes had actually been out and experienced where their customers are going they might give better advice.
As pop says speed and
pressures go hand in hand.
